A wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear? I get it. We have all been there. Lucky for you, I have a styling hack thats going to triple your wardrobe options and make getting dressed in the morning super easy.
The secret? Pinterest!
Most of us likely already have a Pinterest account. Probably full of home inspo, DIY ideas and admit it…a secret wedding pin board.
I personally love to use Pinterest as outfit inspiration. In fact, I go so far as to break down my board by trend, colour or silhouette to make things even more organised (you can check out my boards here). But I digress…
How can you multiply your wardrobe options and create brand new looks by using this tool? Its just three easy steps…
Step 1
Go through your wardrobe and pull out all of the pieces that you a) find hard to wear, or b) wear so often you are bored of them.
Step 2
Log into your Pinterest account and simply type in “insert piece of clothing outfit”. So for example, if you have a khaki pencil skirt, you would type in “khaki pencil skirt outfit”. The key here is to make sure you are reasonably descriptive about the colour and shape of your piece, and to always use the keyword “outfit”, to find the best street style images, and save yourself from being inundated by product images.
Step 3
Go through the images and pin anything that inspires you to a brand new pin board: “Wardrobe Inspiration”. Make sure you are pinning images that incorporate pieces you already have in your wardrobe. I usually find if you have a well curated core wardrobe full of key basics, this part is easy. If you are finding a theme of images you are pinning where there is a basic piece of clothing you may not have, make a mental note to put that on your shopping list.
There you go! A wardrobe full of brand new options just from using a simple tool like Pinterest.
I would love to see all of the new outfits your create using this styling hack, so make sure you tag me on Instagram wearing your brand new looks!
